Samsung has entered into tablet PC world in quite a fashion with its new Samsung Galaxy Tab, which it considers will be overturn the Apple iPad as the king of the tablet PC segment in the coming months. That rather seems like a bold claim to make given that the iPad has literally been the king of this segment. But, look closely and you will see that this tablet has all the ingredients to do so.

The obvious difference between the Samsung Galaxy Tab and the Apple iPad is the size. The Samsung Galaxy Tab has a 7 inch touch screen, which is capacitive thereby allowing multi-touch recognition. This makes the Galaxy Tab to be much smaller than the Apple iPad in size. Samsung believes that this could be a major advantage for its product since the smaller size makes it very portable and lightweight too. The Samsung Galaxy Tab is just slightly bigger than the current high-end smartphones available in the market today. You can find the Galaxy Tab at mobile phone comparison websites.

The tablet fits into the palm of your hand quite easily, however typing could be done with two hands or the SWYPE input technology. Equipped with Wi-Fi, 3G connectivity, and Bluetooth 3.0 this tablet comes loaded with connectivity options. The tablet has two cameras. The front facing camera is used for video chatting with your friends and business partners, while the rear-facing 3 megapixel camera can capture still photos and video. The Android 2.2 operating system allows the users to edit, upload and share these pictures just as they would do in their PC’s.

Samsung Galaxy Tab also boasts of a higher RAM capacity while compared with the Apple iPad, which makes for silky smooth graphics. The Samsung Galaxy Tab is expected to be in the stores by the end of this October.
